16 is a big birthday - I'm curious if you could update and say whereabouts you live. I DON"T want your address! Because depending on the town and such I would have different ideas. It would be kind fun for you to do one thing very family oriented..i.e. miniature golf with your family, the arcade or something. And then something grown up - go to a play with your girlfriends, or get your nails done and sneak into an "R" rated movie without a parent!!(before anyone reports me, I'm pretty sure she's seen an "R" rated movie by now)

Do a family treasure hunt with hints that include every ones homes, even granny's! They wouldn't have to go to the house but be able to write down the item and where it is located.Like: "Hint:This is something that granny used everyday and kept it very close to her. What is it and where is it now?" It could be a Bible or apron or house shoes, etc. Divide the folks into 2 groups or maybe 3 if you have lots of family. The losing group has to eat last! That will give them incentive to work fast! You will be laughing and learning about each other at the same time, not counting the fact that you are growing closer to your family at a crucial time as a teen! Have each generation exhibit or wear clothes from when they were16 and do a dance also. They will be responsible for the music and clothes. Then have everyone dance to your fav music! With food and general conversation, that should be plenty for a family party. This could be adapted to a friend party with a few additions to make the party last longer. Have fun and contact me if I can help with anything.
