It seems that Jon and Liz got together finally. Does this mean Jim Davies wants to finish Garfield?

I don't think he does and I hope he doesn't! Garfield is hilarious! Just because Jon gets Liz doesn't mean it's finished(the cartoon is called Garfield). It could open new doors in the comic.

Possibly, but I’d rather he take it in a new direction.
Jon has been a perpetual loser for the entire run of the strip, and I’ve found that it has gotten really old. I’d actually stopped reading it for some time, and that’s saying something considering it’s just three panels and a couple of lines of dialogue.
