Have good grades. Anything above passing will get you into a state school, but you'll have to do better than that to get into most private schools. Do well on the SAT. If you want to get into a midwestern university, you can take the ACT instead. If your grades were really bad, go to a community college for the first two years. After you do that- nobody wants to see your highschool transcripts, anyway. Most universities place their admission requirments on their webpages, as well as in the brochures that they send out. The requirements of schools vary widely. I'd really advise dropping the netspeak if you are college bound.

Depends on the Universtiy....there are many factors...GPA, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, coursework, and of course, the good old community college transfer! Look at the schools you want to go to, and talk to a counselor at the school...there is always a way!!!
