I was sixteen in 1969. Prior to that, most of society was very conservative and
uncreative. The hippie movement came about because of the Vietnam War, and our way of rebelling in a peaceful way the killing of over fifty thousand young men.
We were trying to preserve the world, because the older folks were exploding
nuclear bombs in the desert and the ocean. Some did drugs, I didn't but am proud to say
hippies like myself were trying to make a better world for you.
Imagine that.

Hippies is just a label for certain people who respect the world around them. They became associated with drugs and random phrases during the 60s which have been sterotyped into this cliche.

I say rock on.

Hippies are people that appreciate all the good things in life and treasure our Earth. They are people. And you are asking us to judge the label they have not the actual person. Everyone has labels and everyone gets judged by them. LOSER, S***, POPULARS, HIPPIES, NERDS.
They are all labels that make us judge the people for their appearance or beliefs not their personality!!
