In my opinion it is not a religious war...whats happening over there is about America meddling in with the Middle East.

America has wanted to take over Iran for a long time. Look at the map..so far America has troops in Iraq and Afghanistan that takes care of a part of Iran...They need to take care of the other parts...Syria. But they cant get Syria unless they take down Hezbollah. But they cant go into another war cause peopl might think America is an Evil Empire (which it is). So get Israel to do the dirty work, which they will gladly do this means more weapons and money for them and of course to take over another river in the middle east and starve the arabs.

Arabs dont hate Jews its not about that. Arabs love jews they walked along side each other for 1000's of years till outside forces intervened. Palestinians dont want that land just so they can have that land they want that river...they live in a desert they need water and Israel is taking it away from them.

I think its a religious war, at least from the point of Muslims arabs.

Israel is reacting so strongly because it have had enough of being provoked so many times and decided to wipe out the aggressor once and for all. For them it's not about destroying another's religion or converting others.

Al-Queda's 2nd-in-command just sent out a call to all muslims to attack israel. That is typical of them just like when they were attacked by the US.

America feels that they have an obligation to 'police' the world and act as the 'big brother' - the leader of the free world. To this end, they seek to prevent bloodshed, but nonetheless they have caused some amount of bloodshed over their reaction to acts of terrorism targeted against them. They have to set a better example if they want to convience others to listen. Anyway, their form of persuasion is either:
1) Trade and diplomatic sanctions, or
2) I have an fully equipped and operational aircraft carrier plus misc fleet xxx miles away from your coast, stop or I shoot.

The truth is not as simple as it sounds.
The Middle East is so volatile, and with US in the game it gets so complicated.
It involves everything, economic, political, religious, racial issues which are so sensitive.
It involves more than 5000 years of human history.
It involves the survival of the human race.
Hope that the governments of every nation will tread carefully.

Zizi, did you say Arabs don't hate Jews? If that's true then
why is it that if you're passport is stamped by Israeli Customs
or Border Agents, that Syria will not allow you to enter her
borders?
If that's true then why is it in Jordan that no Jew is allowed to
purchase property.
And why is it that Jews had to leave Gaza. There are almost
a million Arabs who are citizens of and live in Israel.
Please get your facts straight and do a little research before
you ask these kinds of questions.
