they are here illegaly, so..they have no rights to begin with.
what makes them think they can get rights?

Because they probably have relatives here who are legal citizens, and they think they can get it. Other people and groups demonstrated and protested in the past, and it worked (such as the civil rights movement, but that was necessary cause blacks were getting treated like 2nd class citizens even after they were freed from slavery, so don't assume that illegal immigrants protesting = civil rights movement in the 60's. I'm just using it as an example).

A lot of politicians also fear political backlash from the Latino population as a whole, who they fear will vote against them if they do anything that would essentially crackdown and kick illegals out, which is why this is such a touchy issue.

Personally they piss me off, because they want the benefits of being in the US, without any of the other stuff, like paying taxes. My parents are refugees from the Vietnam war, and they worked their butt off on their jobs, and even studying to become US citizens.

It is true that the Constitution does not give foreigners the right to enter the U.S. But once here, it protects them from discrimination based on race and national origin and from arbitrary treatment by the government. Immigrants work and pay taxes; legal immigrants are subject to the military draft. Many immigrants have lived in this country for decades, married U.S. citizens, and raised their U.S.-citizen children. Laws that punish them violate their fundamental right to fair and equal treatment.

And for those of you (like the one above me) Know your History and what The USA REALLY stands for, not just what your arrogant parents and family tell you. I bet you wouldn't really know what "hard work" meant if it hit you in the face. So stop your whining.

i hear ya man... people say that USA was brought up by illegals.... BS.... people say we are iilegals ourselves....BS we Invaded and conquered this land.... These idiots think they deserve RIGHTS in our country...if you think bout it..it reminds you of Whining little rich girls that aren't getting what they want for their birthdays..... heck its partly our fault their having the Dang movement.... look up what our Border fences look like... crappy in some parts... i seriously think it needs to be Severly upgraded and rewards to people that can legally find illegals(not legals) and drag them to the closest legal office...maybe like $100 for each one you bring in :)
