I'm a fashionable girl, and I don't get the point of some things being "in" one year and out the next. How can something be in fashion then suddenly be considered hideous? Ridiculous.

i agree, this is why "classics" never go out of style. I would go for a basic wardrobe of classic colors, neutral tones and then spice it up with a few trendy pieces or colors... remember to build your wardrobe around a certain palate of colors: makes it easier to get as many coordinating outfits out of it as possible!

Good luck and don't let the fashion gods get to you.... they're just in it for the money, cuz we all know it doesn't always look that good!

well that happens coz..lets say the colour pink is in fashion.and once that happens..everyone u know is gonna go after that colour..u'll c people wearing pink everywhere..and very soon..u'll get sick of it.and then the fashion designers come up with sumthng different to attract people..those who are sick of the color pink.and then since the new thing is 'in'..pink is ridiculed and is out of fashion, as u may put it.

It's called trends, and usually it is the designer people who set it. They do this to create sales. After all, if what you wore last year was still in this year, you would not buy any new clothes. and they would not have as much sales. I hate it, too. Especially when I can't find my favorite kind of jeans anymore!

I agree about the colors thing. They've even included your home furnishings to be changed each year based on the color. It's all in the marketing and who is "in" on the runway.

ok, if the fashon people change the color, style, exetera....they make more money, cause in year one...you buy all brown, then next year you go back and buy all red...then it changes so your whole wardrobe has to change to blue...so they make tuns of money
