What Takes Sharpie Off

Sharpies are alcohol based inks. Use isopropol 70% to remove sharpie marks from glass. Rubbing alcohol (Isopropol) will also partially remove sharpie marks from other surfaces...but not completely, and it may also damage the surface being cleaned. Glass, metal, tiles, some plastics, these can usually be cleaned with the alcohol. Fabrics are usually ruined by sharpie marks. I think the alcohol might dilute the ink and allow it to smear, but probably not get it out...I'm not sure though.

Rubbing alcohol. The higher the percentage of alcohol (for example 90% ethanol is vs 70% isopropyl alcohol) is better. Saturate it with alcohol and it'll wash right off.

"Permanent Marker." It doesn't come off of clothing very well should you stain it. It's a catch 22, you use it so it stays permanently but you don't want it to touch anything of value because if you do it WON'T COME OUT! hence PERMANENT!

Yea, that Magic Eraser thing is so cool. I have one handy at all times and it takes marks off of anything, even when I thought is was permanent.
