People to not want to admit that the claims that Jesus was intimate with Mary Magdalene and fathered children with her is true. People would want to tear Mary apart if she was living among us today. When Jesus lived on Earth, he looked like God's son, he had the Messionic look .Every-one , living then knew he was God's son, that is why the crowds were always around Jesus. People living at that time knew that they were coming face to face with the son of God. Some people could not bear to see Jesus mix with the out-cast of society. i.e people living then. Mankind has not changed. The Da Vinci Code is hated because the claims in the book/ movie are probably true and JESUS IS STILL THE SON OF GOD, THE MESSIAH.

properly, i do not see why Jesus couldn't have had a spouse and toddlers of his own... I propose, truly, it is the author's opinion. How about freedom of speech? I, for one, trust that all and sundry that's probable authentic. the genuine message of Jesus is uncertain, for persons ought to have replaced it previous regularly happening time for his or her own own benefit. The e book does no longer state that the message of Jesus is diverse, it states that possibly the bible would not tell the total reality. each and every of the agencies and artwork portrayed in Da Vinci Code truly exists. I loved the e book, yet have not seen the action picture yet.

Well, if you hate bad writing that is one reason. Otherwise the majority of people who hate it do so because it doesn't just question their most deeply help beliefs, it uses poorly researched "facts" (most of which have been previously disproved so need to go into that here, see the link below or google it if you are the 5 people who still believe his "facts") in order to say everything that those of the worlds largest religion believe is a lie.
I can see how that could piss people off, can't you? It wouldn't be a big deal since its fiction, except Mr. Brown continues to insist he is very accurate regarding his facts.
Imagine whatever belief, thought, thing you hold most dearly, that which defines your life being attacked by a hack writer who did shoddy research at best, outright lied at worst.
Might make you angry eh?

It is not hated by all.Christians hate because it is against their belief. If you read the book out any pre conceived notions ,you may accept it as a possiblity. The Christs life before age of 30 or 32 and after resurrection are mysteries.Where he was educated?Who was his teacher? What did he do after reappearance? Why chrisitian principles and The Bible closely resemble Kasmiri brahmins rituals and Bhagavt Gita? What about the theory that last days of Jesus was in Kashmir?
The mere idea Jesus married a prostitute doesnot diminish his greatness BUT INCREASES HIS GREATNESS only.Jesus was really great whether married or single!

Depends on your outlook.

There is an element of people who hate it because they thought it was true even though they purchased it from the "fiction" section.

There are also religious types who feel they have been libelled because of the way they are portrayed. But again, it's fiction.

Then there are people like me who hate it because it is so badly written. Someone needs to talk to Dan Brown about using internal dialogue and description.

because it is full of crap. leonardo can never be a leader of a secret socaiety because he was never organized, he never finished any real project. He never invented the cryptext (or whatever that is... i forgot the real word for that). Another thing, paintings area always open to opinion of others. The priory of Zion never pertained to the blood of Jesus, or His offspring, it was just used to publicize a manor located on a remote hill in europe.

Because it challenges peoples thinking and religion. Why is it so hard to admit that Jesus might have been married and he might have fathered children. doesn't make him a bad man. In fact I think it makes him more of a man.

Because it's successful and though-provoking, in a "Big Brother" / "Love Island" world where intelligence and success are resented.

Because people can't get over the fact that it's fiction and not meant to be real.

It's badly written.
It is full of pseudo 'facts'.
It twists actual theories and arguments.
It was copied from earlier books.
