Only use mascara on your TOP lashes, and choose dark brown, not black. And use dark brown eyeliner as well (also not in black, that will make your eyes look too dark since your eye is already dark brown) on both, your top and bottom lids. Don't go all the way into the corner near your nose though. Put your finger in the crease against your nose, and start from there towards the outside of your eye. Also use lighter, natural colors since your eyes are brown. Like greens, grays and beiges. Don't use blues or purples, they don't go as well with brown eyes, they're good for blue eyes though. You can also do the "smokey" thing if you can get it right. I personally suck at the smokey thing, but some people can do it and it looks nice. That's when you go all the way up to your eyebrow with a very pale color so it shimmers just a little bit, just in case you don't know it, some people don't. It's hard to perfect though.

You can also try using silver or white eyeliners in the outside corners or your eyes. I suggest Jordana brand (you can get it at CVS). It's pretty cheap compared to other brands, comes in every color imagineable, and is actually really good. I've tried a lot of different brands, and Jordana's my favorite. As for mascara, choose a brand that lengthens and thickens your eyelashes. Just don't use too much or it will make it clumpy. Get one of those little eyelash brushes to "comb" your eyelashes and get the clumps out. Apply one coat, wait til it dries, then apply the second. But only on the top.

Another tip is to make sure your eyebrows are well-kempt. The should start directly above the innermost corner of your eye and go just a little past the outtermost corner. Don't let them get too thick or have too many strays. The thinner your brows are, the bigger your eyes will look. Just don't pluck them too thin lol! They should be about 1/3 inch thick. Get a professional to do it, then all you have to do is upkeep.

You can look up ideas on Yahoo, then you will be able to see pictures and stuff.

Good luck!

-Almond eyes-
This shape is what all eye shapes are corrected to be, and does not need any altering, this eye shape can use any technique.

-Small eyes-
Look smaller than usual, so use highlighting colors, not dark because lighter colors will bring them out. Use a simple technique because there isn’t much room for extravagance. Curl lashes large and bring color out a little. Tidy brows to make more room for color.

* If you have brown eyes then you should use the shades such as copper, bronze or brown to accent the brown eyes.
For a doe-eyed look you can also add beige and khaki-green.
You also have a choice to contrast brown eyes by using royal blue, hot pink or lime green.
Blues (all shades) tend to look best on brown eyes.

* Using the right colors of eyeshadow can help your eyes to look larger or more prominent. Using the wrong colors of eyeshadow can make your eyes look smaller, more deep and squinty. We’ll help you choose colors that are especially for the purpose of making your eyes appear larger.

Try: Lighter eyeshadows. Sheer pinks, light browns, light violets and crystal pinks are all good places to start. The lighter colors help reflect light and draw the outside edges out instead of inward. This causes your eyes to appear larger.

Accent: If you want to, you can accent your eyes with a darker color. This color goes in the crease and is blended out. The trick is to use a color that is only a shade or two darker than what you’re wearing. If you go too dark, like black or dark purples, greens or blues, you won’t be able to blend it very well into your lighter colors and you run the risk of closing your eyes.

Avoid: It’s important to avoid certain colors because they are known for causing a “shadow” look on the eyelid, which closes your eye. I don’t recommend using dark grays or black, dark green, purple or blue. Dark browns are easier to work with, because they’re neutral colors.

Eyeliner: Use lighter colored eyeliners including silver, gold and white. Using dark brown or black will definitely minimize your eyes and make them appear smaller than they are.

* How To Do Your Makeup

Applying eyeshadow: Apply your lightest color of eyeshadow (crystalline or light pink) from your eyelashes to your eyebrow. Then apply your next dark color (light brown, darker pink, etc.) from your eyelashes to just above the crease of your eyelid. If you’re using a third color, now’s the time to apply it to your crease and blend it outward to the outer corner of your eye. Make sure everything is blended

Applying eyeliner: Eyeliner can be so crucial it’s important to get the technique just right. Applying eyeliner along the whole lid gives it a definite edge, and closes your eye. Instead, apply it along the outer 2/3 instead. Giving it a slight upward “wing” at the outer edge will help to elongate your eye. Finally, don’t line your bottom lid at all. This is equivalent to drawing a black circle around your eye and guess what? Yep. It closes your eye.

And that’s it! Using these small eyes makeup tips should help bring out your eyes.

don't make a solid circle with eyeliner. start from the out side and only to the center, curl your lashes, pluck your brows, use a good mascara like Maybelliene Unstoppable and remember anything you do to the top do to the bottom for a balanced look

this is a tip from my generation. Dab a little blush on your ear lobes. The color makes your eyes sparkle. Try it--it works. Also use eye drops that get the red out.

If you're using eyeliner on the bottom, line your inner rims with white eyeliner also. Or use an eyelask curler and two coats of lash-lengthening mascara

Mascara on top lashes will help. So will dark liner around your eyes. The liner will also give your eyes an exotic look. :-)

um. i don't know about bigger but i do know about brighter- when you apply eye shadow, apply in the creases of your eyes (the tearduct area) and sweep upward. it makes the color of your eyes brighter and stand out more. it always works! let me know how it goes!

Apply white eyeliner to the inside corners of your eyes. Benefit's "Mr. Frosty" is one of my favorites.
