I would like to start a website.. So i would like to do design. I need images. So i go through internet and got some images through search engines. Can i use these images? Is it legal?. If not, how can i use the images?

You can save those images u like on your disk (By right click on the image and select save as) then use it for deisning, I suggest you to look for free stuff, if still not avialable, but u r satisfied with the content (images) on other site, either ask for permission from the webmaster of the Site or put the link at the end of your page mentioning as source for the images or contents.

I don't really know much about legality, but if you want to use pictures, a good way is through www.photobucket.com. Sign up for a free account with them, then all you have to do is click "upload pictures from URL" and put the website location of the picture in the blank. after it's been saved into your account with them, it will give you the html code to put the picture in a page.

it depends if the web page says the image is copyrighted then you cant use it without the owner's permission. Just make your own images. However, if the author tells you you can use the image then go ahead.
