Wax... The pain is only unbearable for the 1st 3 times. After that it's not so bad. The hair grows back thinner and you don't have to do it so frequently.I do it myself at home and I like to use Bactine after. It's a topic analgesic (antibacterial disinfectant)and has a numbing agent in it that take the stinging away. You can find it at any pharmacy. Shaving is ok, but you run the risk of nicking yourself and you feel the stubble the day after. You'll be amazed with how smooth and soft you feel "there" when you wax and you're man will love you for it!

I have the same problem and tried everthing all the other people suggested. I recently started using "Veet" - the cream, NOT the mousse. It was recommended to a friend by some showgirls in Vegas ( seriously). It's not perfect - I thought the results would last longer, but it's the first time I haven't had bumps. Trying to remember - I think I used it 2 or 3 times before the bumps stopped. It comes with a bladeless plastic "razor" (scraper) and it seems to do a better job than just water or washcloth. Good luck!

I have learned that when shaving, use a good heavy lathering cream, a sharp razor and it helps when you shave going upward. I don't know how YOUR pubic hair grows, but mine grows into a downward spiraling mess!! If I don't shave at least once a week, it SUCKS! At times, it reminds me of a chia pet (if ya know what I mean : )~ Shave the opposite way the hair grows......Up and Out...............I always make sure I use ALOT of a good lathering shaving cream and a brand new sharp razor....then, depending on how thin or thick ya want the pubic line, shave outward....make sure you rinse the razor often and apply more shaving cream to avoid a "plucking" sensation when ya shave. If it feels like you're plucking your eyebrows, you are doing it wrong! After a good "make over", apply lotion : )

Exfoliate before removing the hair; the bumps are caused by dead skin cells (doing this also helps to reduce ingrown hairs). Make sure you use a fresh razor blade (or near fresh) every time you shave. If this is your first time shaving, make sure you keep it up, the lumps can be irritation from shaving as well, the way to get rid of them in this case is to keep doing it, they will go away after a while. If you find that you itch after shaving, keeping it up (shaving a few times a week to start) will stop it.
Cheers!

Use a NEW blade every time. Try the venus vibrance. Its great and use the venus vibrance shave gel. They both are really good. To tell you the truth though most of the time the bumps are going to come reguardless of what you do.

Use a hair remover like Neet or Nair. Or if you can take the pain got to a spa for a bikini wax, or try to do a wax job yourself.
