In a sex therapist's point of view, masturbating is a method to find out one's pleasure points, or rather G-spot. Even when a couple is together or married, they can still masturbate on their own or together so that both will know how to satisfied both party when they need to engage in physical sex.
So masturbate is a double edge sword. it is good if it is only used to find out what actually will make a person high, so as to have a more enjoyable love making session.
But if it is use excessively for self satisfaction, thinking that it can replace actual love making, then it would not be correct.

I get lots of sexual pleasure but I still like to masturbate anyway. I just think it feels good. My penis belongs to me and I can do what I want with it. If it gets hard and I am by myself, I spank it!

Masturbation is healthy, unless you feel like you need it to go on. Lonely nerds give it the bad reputation, but I don't think that there is anything wrong with it.

Well, there is nothing wrong in not wanting to do that. In fact it's great , you don't need to do this stuff. Beside guys are much more likely to do it than women, so it is natural.
