Because they're open minded, and don't think because of the way a religion tells them to think.

Gay marriage isn't gross.

Why is gay marriage so gross? What is it that makes you so upset about it? Is it because these people might actually be in love and add a sense of respectability to marriages?

I don't get it. Just as long as you aren't hurting yourself or others I don't see why you can't do what you want. It's not like these gay people are having sex on your desk at work and disrupting your life. So why would you care what someone else does? I guarantee there's a lot more in your life to worry about.

I'm not gay or bi. But I do have a lot of bi-sexual and gay friends. They are decent folks and are just like you or me. They have the same fears, the same hopes, the same dreams. The only difference is that they like the same sex. Whatever floats their boat. And actually it's rather refreshing to see people like them happy and talking about how great their relationship is. Unlike straight marriages/couples that wind up breaking up or becoming disinterested.

It is not gross... love is love. Not all Europeans support gay marriage (look at a large percentage of Italy, for example), but those that do support it for the same reason that people from other continents do: people should be allowed to love whomever they please and partake in the legal, medical, financial, social, and other benefits that are offered through marriage.

Other than the fact that they are smarter than us?

First off, no one is asking you to be gay. The marriage thing is solely about rights and equal opportunity under the law. Frankly I see it like this... among the big issues over the last few hundred years, abolishment of slavery, women and their rights (voting etc.), blacks and their rights (voting, equal rights), so why aren't gays afforded the same rights?

Because they are open-minded (aka smarter) in that area than America. Love is love, it knows no boundaries like age, gender, race and whatnot. Every citizen deserves the right to happiness, regardless of sexual orientation. And it's not gross...it's gorgeous!! VIVA EUROPE!!

Europeans are a far superior and morally advanced group of people than the US. And they are not afraid of homosexulity the way some other nations are.

Because they believe that homosexual people should have to suffer the bonds of marriage along with everybody else.
