Thats pretty old we can read it because the brain dosent read the whole word but only the first and last words and chooses the words that would make most sense and puts them in the middle.

yes i can and even i say that anybody who knows english can read this
apart from this it is fact that when we are reading something our eyes see first and last words and from this our brain configures out and the word is spelled out with the 1st & last alphabet only but watch out u r not always right
eg: fsit can u read it
