~ This question is completely controdictory to itself. Murder is defined as a premeditated and unlawful intent of one human being to to kill or cause bodily harm to another human being.

An embryo is defined as the earliest stage in reproduction in an organism, after the first division of the cells, and before the major organ systems begin to develop. An embryo is nothing more than a group of cells reproducing from one another. It takes on no form, nor can it survive on its own outside of the mother be it plant or animal. This stage of development ends in mammals (including humans) about eight weeks after fertilization, and the organism is called a fetus. This stage ends in plants when it begins to protrude from the seed which keeps it safe.

As you can see an embryo is not a human being (or even close) and therefore cannot be murdered.

Scientists don't think it's murder to discard an embryo. Scientists think that an embryo formed in a laboratory isn't a human life, and that it shouldn't be given rights. They don't place a moral value to the "life" of an embryo like you do. Many of them, either don't think that it's a sin to discard embryos, or they aren't religious at all.

Because it's in their financial interest to convince themselves they aren't even persons capable of being murdered in the first place. Apparantly they haven't checked out abort73.com, or thought about what differences there are between embryos and children, and if any of those differences make someone not human (they don't).

Why are you so closed minded? An embryo isn't even considered a human being until it's third trimester during pregnancy, scientific study by that time would be futile. It's already been proven that there could possibly be cures for many diseases, including Parkinsons, HIV/AIDS, and many different cancers and leukemias, I personally think that we're stupid not to be studying these diseases.

I don't think they want to murder the embryos. The want to study them for research them so they can better treat different diseases.
