WARFARE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Under Fire for 6 Hours, U.N. Peacekeepers Pleaded for Help Before Being Killed, U.N. Says
By Alissa J. Rubin, Times Staff Writer
July 27, 2006

UNITED NATIONS — The United Nations post where four peacekeepers were killed by Israeli fire Tuesday was hit at least 16 times over six hours, including five direct hits on the base as its unarmed staff repeatedly notified Israeli liaison officers and begged for help, U.N. officials said Wednesday.

On Tuesday U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said the airstrike that hit the post in southern Lebanon was "apparently deliberate."

Some people are so stupid while they think if "Hamas" and "Hezbollah" didn't exist Israel didn't invade and slaughter Palestinian and Lebanese.

"US prime minister said they want to change the middle east map."

It means all of these troubles and killing innocents are made as a plan. Actually, invading Lebanon is an excuse to continue this plan after US invaded to Afghanistan and Iraq.

On (Monday, July 31, 2006) "Olmert" in Israel parliament (Knesset) said to Lebanese with a laugh, nobody don't want to help you.

What does it mean in your opinion?
Isn't it a permission from some countries to Israel for killing Palestinian and Lebanese civilians?

WAKE UP PEOPLE...! They are killing civilians and ruin countries with aids of US, UK and even United Nation can't do any useful activity.

United Nation is a toy in powerful countries hands...!

US is vetoing all of UN resolutions for aid to Israel and doesn't let nobody help civilians. US prime minister several times said, we don't want this war be finish now.

What does it mean in your opinion?
Isn't it Holocaust in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, etc.?

Who are terrorists in your opinion?
People who fighting for their country or those countries that invade, occupy countries and slaughtering civilians for the name of peace?

Remember while "Hitler" wanted to invade and occupy other countries, he found some excuses.

The rest of your question doesn't seem to fit your headline. Are you saying that we need to stop Israel from attacking Hezbollah? It sure sounds like it. I don't think you mean that, and I don't think that Israel was trying to target the UN Peacekeepers. That would be political suicide.

So what can we do about Hezbollah? If there was an easy answer then we would be able to handle Iraq. Our policy has been to target the terrorists and try to only kill them; that's Israel's policy as well.

The US is in a delicate position with Israel, and Israel knows it. If we support Israel publicly then the rest of the Moslem world, especially Iraq, will be against the US. It would also increase the threat of terrorist attacks against the US.

The best thing that the US can do is to sit by the sidelines and let Israel try to get the job done. Ultimately they are not going to stop Hezbollah they are only going to beat them down enough so they go back into hiding. The ideal solution would be to strengthen the Lebanonise government so it can keep order in its own country. Along the border the Hezbollah militia is more powerful then the Lebanonise government troops. If Lebanon could control Hezbollah they would get them to move back from the border and make it harder for Hezbollah to attack Israel. However, like Hamas, Hezbollah does a lot more than just fight Israel. They are a support group for the Moslem population. They pay the poor stipends so that they can make ends meet; they also set up schools, hospitals and other support systems. If Lebanon tried to jump down hard on Hezbollah this support might stop and a lot of their own people would be angry with that.

Most of Israel’s arms are US supplied so America can help Israel by selling them more ammo and weapons, cheap. Just don’t get caught at it or it will seem to the Moslem world that another Iran-Contra deal was struck.

First its war and mistakes happen and people die. If you demand that Israel fight a perfect war then they lose - period. Ever imagine what happens if they lose? How many innocent people will die then?

Hezzbolah moved close to 12,000 or 13,000 rockets into that zone the UN was suppose to see disarmed. What the Hell kind of job is that? UN resolution 1559; Israel leaves Lebanon and Hezzbolah disarms, and UN oversees the disarmament. Well guess what Israel did what they were told and the UN oversaw a huge rearmament. Who is to say that station wasn't being used by cover for Hezzbo?

The UN should be told to SIT DOWN AND SHUT UP. Sorry their people were unfortunate casaulties but if they had done their job (UN) this battle would not be going on. Now kick them back to Iran....ooops I forgot there are a 150,000 American soldiers between them and IRAN...oh well.

Most of the tech being utilized by Hesbollah is Iranian. Most is established or extended Soviet?Russian equipment. During the bloodless struggle the Soveits spent a shed load of cash sponsering Syria Egypt and after the reveloution Iran. The concern in lebanon is basicly the Iranains looking to wipe the Jews and their anglo saxons pals of the face of the earth by means of proxy.
