Do you realize the outright GENOCIDE (to destroy an ethnic group of people) that is taking place in Lebanon right now???

Do you really believe that Lebanon is a threat to Israel? Israel under attack?? PUhleeeze! People, Israel is a nuclear POWERHOUSE. They are not under threat from anyone! THEY are the aggressors, not Hezbolah! Israel has HUNDREDS of nuclear and biological weapons! HUNDREDS! They also have one of the best air forces in the world! They are highly technologically advanced and they also get a lot of weapons from guess who? - thats right, the U.S.

To say that Hezbollah is threatening Israel is like saying Hawaii attacked Texas - it ain't plausible!!

People - Syria is NOT a threat!

Iran is NOT a threat.

They DO NOT HAVE WEAPONS. Iran will not have nuclear capabilities for at least 8 years! Iran has not threatened anyone!! IN FACT - Iran wrote a letter to Bush asking for freindship! Please Google that.....

IRAQ did NOT have WEAPONS!

THINK PEOPLE! Please THINK.

A.) STOP WATCHING CABLE NEWS.

It is garbage. They are controlled by neo-con political agendas. Fox News is Fake news, its purely entertainment - not news! But you know what? - watching little Israeli kids aoutograph missles to blow up Lebanese kids.....you think That is entertaining? Guess who did NOT report about that.

B.) USE THE INTERNET.

Google everything. use the net while it is still free. Research info for yourself. Find websites that show pictures of the destruction that Israel is carrying out against HUMANITY.

C.) USE YOUR BRAIN.

That God gave you! I don't care if Hezbollah or Lebanon "kidnapped" a few Israeli soldiers.....that gives Israel the right to wipe a region off the FACE OF THE EARTH?

And why is our selected leader condoning GENOCIDE???

The people of Israel have been attacked so many time in their history that no other race could possibly understand. They've been enslaved, nearly wiped out by the holocaust and hated by every single person in the Middle East. If any Arab country had nukes they would not hesitate to use them on Israel or give them to terrorists who would and thus free themselves of the blame. The difference between Israel and Lebanon and Syria and Iran, is that Israel has the restraint to not use its nuclear capabilities. Israel is constantly under attack, and I suppose its very easy to condemn their actions when you aren't worried about the next bomb killing your son or daughter, or next missile killing someone you love. I can't imagine being a Jew in Israel for that very reason, for fear of losing everything at any moment. That alone justifies anything the Jews do short of causing a nuclear winter. NO one has a right to criticize Israel until they live there and face what they face everyday, the hatred, the attacks and the UN painting them as savage barbarians raping and pillaging and murdering children.

There is no justification that any sane person could give. ANY atrocity towards ANY innocent is unjustifiable. Unfortunately, the governments of the world, not just Israel - all, especially the ring leader and playground bully - the US (G Bush eggs on his minions without getting his hands bloody), of the world will continue to push their way through to squelch any divergent thought through violence, intimidation and death.

In response to a previous answer - not only does "1984" describe the real time situation - so does "The Handmaid's Tale" (has to be the book -not the movie) by Margret Atwood describe the current environment in the US with the Neo-Right Wing leadership and the erosion of human rights in this country.
