At this point in your pregnancy, you are probably seeing your doctor every month at least. So if you are have no other symptoms, don't worry. It could be lots of things, pressure from your bladder, increased mucus production from the surge of hormones. But if you are in the LEAST bit worried, give your doctor a call in the morning. Someone there should be able to ask the doctor and give you some type of an answer.
In my experience, when my water broke, it was a huge gush, not just dripping. I've never heard of it being just a "slow stream." And another way to tell if it is amniotic fluid is if you squat and then stand or stand and then squat, fluid will gush out.
Remember, though, that we are not medical doctors and even if we were, you need to actually have a doctor physically exam you to be 100 percent sure.
You know you're body better than anyone. So trust your own judgement. If you feel it is a symptom of something that is wrong, get into your doctor immediately.
Best of luck for a happy, healthy and fun pregnancy!!

The same sort of thing happened to me during my first pregnancy. However, I was 39 weeks. At first I thought that the baby was just pressing against my bladder causing me to wet myself. But after it happened 4 times in the matter of an hour, I called mt doctor. They did the strip test and it was amniotic fluid. (Very easy and painless procedure.) They induced my labor and a beautiful and healthy baby boy came shortly thereafter. :)
You should contact your doctor, because if you are leaking amniotic fluid and you do not let the doctor know you could cause yourself to have a "dry" birth which can be dangerous for both you and the baby. So call the doctor so you will know for sure. Good luck and congrats!

Type in the question How do you know when you are leaking..... and the rest should pop up. I received 10 pts for the best answer. Its fairly simple you can always go in to the doc's office and tell the nurse what you are experiencing and let her know that you NEED to be examined. Most times they try to say ohh thats normal go home rest and everything will be o.k. but at this stage you would feel a lot more at ease after being examined and tested not just guested about.

When my mucous plug broke it gushed out of me one morning. Later in the evening my water broke and it too gushed out of me. Not all women gush though. I believe what you are experiencing is normal...could be amniotic fluid but don't worry. When you see your doctor again you should definately mention it though. If you do go into labor before then though you are only 7 weeks early so don't dispare. But I really don't think there is a problem. If you are worried do you have a number you can call like we have here...it's called Telecare and they have professional nurses on line 24/7 to advise you. If you don't have that service, then call the hospital for advise.

Most pregnant women have an increase in vaginal discharge due to the increase in hormones. I think your probably just being paranoid...I am 38 weeks with my second child so I understand how you feel. Amniotic fluid is sorta like urine except it is clear and it has no odor...obviously urine is yellowish and has an ammonia odor. Vaginal discharge can range in color, thickness, and odor. If it is clear and thin like mucus it's discharge. If your really worried about it call you doctor...but I am more than sure you A O.K.

If it is amniotic fluid, it will be very liquidy, just like water. When did you notice it? If it came on just recently, you could be leaking. If you are concerned, I'd call the doc, they can do a test to see if your amniotic fluid is leaking. (They stick like a 'paper' thing into your vagina, and if it turns colors, then there is fluid present). That's how I went into labor, a very slow leak. Can you tell if your 'wet' inside your vagina? If it's very liquidy, I'd call the doc and get it checked, just in case. Good luck!

If it is amniotic fluid, it will be heavier when you lie down and slow or cease when you stand up, because the baby's head will act like a cork when standing. Another option is to completely empty your bladder, and then lie down and see if the leaking continues. If it does, you know it's amniotic fluid. Good luck darlin!!

It's not creamy. There is no real way of telling which it is without having your amniotic fluid tested. Call your obgyn and let them no what has been going on. At 33 weeks you don't want to fool around with it. My son was born at 34 and a half weeks gestation. Please I urge you to call your ob good luck and congrats also ck out what www.webmd.com says

Have you had any pains, backaches anything like that? If it is constant and no oder I would call my OB and let them know what is going on. Amniotic fluid will not be creamy it is water just like urine only usually urine has an oder. Try staying off your feet as much as possible and see if that will help also.

really please call your doctor or ER. you could be leaking and you need to know that ASAP. It is a very simple easy test , they just swab you and look under the microscope. in the meantime, lay down and take it easy.. there arent neccesarily other symptoms with leaking or rupture. I ruptured my membrane at 27 weeks pregnant, while i was sleeping! no warning signs , no symtoms, i felt fine.
