I keep hearing US news presenters referring to "I-Rock." Where is this place? There seems to be a lot of fighting there. Is it anywhere near Iraq?

It is Iraq just like I-Ran is Iran..............just the American pronunciations that's all.
An American woman I know used to buy stuff from R-GO-SE took me a while to realise she meant Argos!!
