Which is the best and cheapest shopping cart software available for a b2c website?

I don't know best or cheapest, but I've used PayPal and 1shoppingcart with success.

I can also recommend Ken Evoy's Sitesell suite, though I haven't used it, it has a good reputation.

i had nothing but trouble with the free shopping carts
i think you'll find this one a great value
