Where I live, the age of consent is 17. If I were 17 or older, would that mean I could have sex with whomever I wanted to?

Would I be able to have sex with a non-minor?

You could have sex with anyone who is 17 or over, not anyone younger though, thats illegal.

You need to specify what state you are talking about. If the age of consent for YOU is 17, then you can probably be with someone 17 or older. But you might still be restricted from being with someone under the age of 17.

Yes, if the law in your state says 17, then that means for everyone 17, but it also means you can get in big trouble if you have sex with a 16 or younger y/o. So you need to verify their birthday, lots of kids will fib about their age. Good luck.

Sex is not regulated by any law with 17 and above only. If you have sex with a minor that is seduction and a criminal case can be filed against you under the Penal Law.

I'm not sure about other states, but in PA there is allowed to be a 4 year age difference. For example, if you are 18, then you can legally date a 14 year old. Cause if you think about it, that's like a high school freshman dating a high school senior.

A non-minor is an adult.......and if you're at the age of consent where you live, then knock yourself out. Legally, there's nothing stopping you.

Morally is a different answer.

You know what I think is really funny, Christianities tradition says that Mary married when she was 14. If a thirty year old man, Joseph, married a 14 year old girl you would never hear the end of it and you shouldn't

Sounds right, unless the act itself was statutorily illegal (e.g., prostitution).
