God created earth and the life on it. I believe our purpose is not only to populate the earth, but to love God, and his son.

The person who answered above is wrong. The purpose of life is not to reproduce. The purpose of life depends on what religion you are. Each religion has a different purpose and believes different things.

Everything you are asking and thirsting to know is all in the "Kings James Version" The Bible! Nobody "created" life - it evolved. If you need to know why we need to live, just think how you'd like the alternative. And as far as a purpose for life - it's just to live and reproduce. That's all.

god created the heavens and the earth and he did so we could produce more children.. it says in the bible a man is blessed if he had his home filled with children.. those are not the exact words but i do not know how to spell the exact word...

life was not created by any entity. it occured as the earth formed. the elements began to clump into proteins and such, and form protoboints which could spontaneously divide, thus reproducing. eventually, as the atmosphere changed, they also began to "eat," and become more complex, and life developed
