God created earth and the life on it. I believe our purpose is not only to populate the earth, but to love God, and his son.

The person who answered above is wrong. The purpose of life is not to reproduce. The purpose of life depends on what religion you are. Each religion has a different purpose and believes different things.

Everything you are asking and thirsting to know is all in the "Kings James Version" The Bible! It tells you nothing but the truth, and God made this world in 6 days and he rested on the 7th,which is considered the sabbath(Sunday). We are the creation and in the image of God and his will is for us here on earth is to spread the gospel,to help bring his words to life to others so that when we do come to the end of our life, that we may live forever in Heaven.Again search the Bible and you will find all that you search for.Good Luck to you,and i hope you are being sincere in your question, because i take something like this very personal.Best wishes and God Bless you!

Nobody "created" life - it evolved. If you need to know why we need to live, just think how you'd like the alternative. And as far as a purpose for life - it's just to live and reproduce. That's all.

life was not created by any entity. it occured as the earth formed. the elements began to clump into proteins and such, and form protoboints which could spontaneously divide, thus reproducing. eventually, as the atmosphere changed, they also began to "eat," and become more complex, and life developed
