Okay, let's get this thing sorted out once and for all.
Just because someone tied a piece of wire across the bottom of your drive at neck height so next time you cycle down there you will be beheaded - it doesn't mean it was the chipmunks.
Just because everytime you go for a walk down the road a huge boulder (with the tag "The Acme Instant Rock" tied to it) rolls off the top of that tall building and just misses you - it doesn't mean it was the chipmunks.
Just because some spacky wabbit shoves a carrot up your nose, gives you a big kiss on the lips and says "That's for the chipmunks" - doesn't mean he was telling the truth.
No, siree - this is all a fiendish plot to get us poor, cuddly, fwendly chipmunks into deep pooh poohs.
We wouldn't hurt no one, no how.
We is good chipmunks, we is.
So you stop worrying about it and go about your daily business and we'll make sure that no harm will come to you.
We will protect you - we will make sure no one "gets" you - coz we is saving you for our Cwistmas Dinner . . . . . . . . . .. . yuk yuk
Love
Alvin

In 1958 Ross Bagdasarian (using the stage name David Seville, named after Seville, Spain) released "The Chipmunk Song" ("Christmas, Don't Be Late"), a sped-up recording of himself performing three-part harmony. The resulting high-pitched cartoony voices were named "Alvin", "Simon", and "Theodore" after executives at the record company which published the record. "The Chipmunk Song" went on to win two Grammy Awards and a new "group" called "David Seville & the Chipmunks" became a popular novelty act.
In 1961, the group starred in their own animated television series, The Alvin Show. The characters substantially regained popularity in the early 1980s under the guidance of Bagdasarian's son Ross Jr, A new series, Alvin and the Chipmunks, debuted in 1983, with a feature film (The Chipmunk Adventure, 1987) and several direct-to-video releases in the 1990s following it. Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. provides the voices of Dave, Alvin, and Simon in the new production; his wife Janice Karman does the voice of Theodore and the female Chipmunk spin-off group The Chipettes.
...Listening to their rendition of 'Pussycat, pussycat, I love you !' can still really 'get you' !

not anymore. I made a deal with them. Two jars of peanut butter and a sack of nuts a month and they will leave me alone.

yea! you see, alvin wanted to play a prank on one of david's friends, cuz she was a girl and alvin thought that david was gonna marry her, so i told him that he wasnt gonna marry her, but he didnt believe me, and he was still gonna do it, so i warned david about it, and ever since alvin found out that i was the one that told on him, he's been out to get me!
and plus i told theodore that alvin was gonna pretend to be the tooth fairy for him, and theodore got mad at him, but then it turned out that there really was a tooth fairy, so it all turned out to be ok, but alvin's still mad at me!
