Most people will tell you "depends on what sound your lookin for". Here's what I say. Sing what's more comfortable for you. I tried to broaden my range and all I ended up with is a sore throat and a scratchy voice for a week. End result, sing how you want to. Can't sing a song? Make it your own. Sing it YOUR way. Just have fun with it. Singing is expression. Your expression. There is no wrong way to sing in my book. If everyone tried to sing the same way, what fun would that be?

Depends on the sound you're going for. If you want a poppy, nasal, radio voice, sing through your nose. If you want a strong, clear, pure, strong voice, sing through your mouth, and use your diaphram.
