Generally, we feel refreshed as soon as we wash our face. Bathing makes it even more relaxing. What changes happen in us to make us feel that way?

Skin is considered an organ, all be it a really thin one, and it covers our entire body.

The average square inch of skin has more than a thousand nerve endings.

So . . . . when you wash your face or bathe, you are gently massaging these nerve endings, increasing the blood circulation and thus invigorating the body. The muscles underneath the skin relax, and you feel refreshed.

Also when you wash you remove debris from the skin. The debris can contain dead skin cells which become dry and brittle causing the skin to loose flexibility, oily sweat, dust and grime. Bacteria love this debris and can form an odor.

So . . .when you wash you also smell fresh and more supple, which also makes you feel refreshed and invigorated.

So, that's my explanation. Hope this is what you needed.

I believe it is the energy level that
gets us back to that refreshed
feeling. Water is essential and
our body is stimulated by the
feel of water.

Normally dust, sweat mix and cover the body pores, when clean with water the pores are open and dust wash away, so we feel fresh..

it is merely clean... :) there is not any damage done, and it is going to help save your epidermis cool and calm, quite once you've breakouts. yet for laundry, appropriate to apply warm (no longer somewhat) water and cleanse your face two times (once to eliminate airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud/makeup, second time to really take care of the exterior. in case you choose to splash chilly water on your face at that aspect, then knock your self out! :)
