1. Get a portfolio of pictures together.
2. Shop it around to agencies.
3. Shop it around to smaller, local businesses. That might build up your resume and make you more competitive for bigger and bigger jobs.

Good luck.

How old are you?
Though there are child models, the best age for "grooming" is 13 and up.
This is the prime age for agencies, so if you fit the bill - generally at least 5' 9 and thin, then I highly suggest you visit some local agencies.
If you are located in a small town, most likely, there are no reputable agencies and I would not advise you to go to a school as they are of little help - most are a rip off, to be honest.

Do not pay any money to anyone who says they can give you work. A reputable agency gets you the work FIRST, after you have signed with them and then basically they make money the more YOU make money.

So, in short - what you should do is find a reputable agency near you that does open calls, then show up on that day, within their listed time frame.
You will speak with a booking agent and polaroids will be taken.
This is the best way.

You could also just take some regular polaroids, (No makeup, one body shot, one face shot) - no need to have a professional shoot done and send them out to all the reputable agencies you can - in both the U.S. and Europe.

All agencies will have a website with further details on pictures and specifications, so be sure you tailor each mailing accordingly.

If you have any further questions, email me & I will help you.

I have heard a lot of bad thing about SOME (not all) modelling agencies and how they make you pay for photos and photo sessions before they take you on then never give you any work. Always check with the local Better Business Bureau in teh US or Trading Standards in the Uk or Similar organisation elsewhere.

I think a better starting place before you go to agencies is if you have a friend who is reasonable with a camera (do not have to be a professional or even that good just okay) Just take 100 photos of yourself in different poses, clothing and backgrounds then pick out 10-20 nice photos. You can then use this as a portfolio, and even better instead of printing them which cost you money every time, host them on a website and get some business cards print with the website address on and just hand these out instead. This is a far cheaper way of doing it and with no RISK. You should never have to pay to get a job if you do there is a high chance it is a scam.

However if you would like a personal portfolio site please contact me and I will set you on up for free. I can design you a fully personalised flash website with as much or little information and then host it for you. This site can contain a gallery of your photos, personal information, list of work, contact details, etc or if you prefer just a couple of photos and nothing else. It can be password protected and all images will be protected as is humanly possible, or the photos can be available to download.

Examples of work can be provided on request. Just message me here if you want, I am a professional website designer but have lots of free time (and enough money) so I am currently doing free sites for small bands, small artist etc, basically anyone who could not afford them otherwise. I have my own hosting server so can offer hosting servers or you can host the site yourselves. No images sent to me will be used for anything other than your site and I will not give anyone your detail or link to the site. You will have complete control and the site can be removed or changed at any time. This is not a scam and I will design a site for FREE, I do not need the money, and enjoy working. If you do want it message me you can tell me what you want and how you want it done and I will help.

Depending how old you are I may require parents permission before i will do any work.

regrettably you're too short to do even print artwork. The marketplace minimum popular is 5'8 and except you're there, any corporation that tries to promote you is dropping their time and your funds. also, being "amazing" does no longer represent for one being a variety. Being "amazing" isn't what brokers search for, its being unique that receives you far. i have seen a number of the ugliest ladies make it to the excellent because of a trait that someone someplace curiously loves. i ought to look into possibly some performing classes and searching an agent for that though. in words of your excellent and self-defined look it type of feels as if you could make a good actress. And god knows you do not even might want to be solid at performing to be on television or contained in the films anymore.

Get yourself a portfolio with black&whites and some color photos to show out your facial features and attributes. Find an agent or take them in your self to a modeling agency.

look for an agent but hey being a model sucks...i used to model and they would put me on a very strict diet (and i was just a darn child!!!) the modeling world is cruel. And a lot of girls do heroin or coke to stay thin (some even meth).

Try going on America's Next top Model. If you're good and lose, someone watching the show might notice you and say "She should be my model!"
