along the bottom edges of the car. The auto shop man says it's a gravel protection application that's used on all Toyota Corollas. I've never seen anything like this before. Have you? Is this someting that really works, or am I being 'had.'?

If it looks similar to orange peel, then yes that is real, and yes it works really well.

Sounds plausable -- normally paint chips first on the bottom of the door (it does on my car).

Unless it looks really ugly, or else you are being charged extra for it, I don't see why you would not just leave it as is.

Yeah it really works but it usually is matching on both sides of the car. You might want to make sure it is on both sides. Other wise and him to finish the job. (at his expense)

This is strange.easy way to figue it out , just rbing the car to any toyota dealer , and ask service dept. They know much better.

It's undercoating painted over to protect from road hazard.

I've seen it. I don't know how well it works , but I understand that its rubberized paint that resists parking lot dings, too.

i have heard of this. they put it on one of my cars when i got it repainted. it works very well. you will have far fewer stone chips on the side of your car.

check a few cars like yours if doesn't match go to them if no help go to insurance they will make it rite
