Pro-active definitely works. But you need to stick to it. And it can be expensive.

Here's another one if you have the time and patience. It's an egg yolk facial. Cheap cheap.

Take the yolk of an egg, spread liberally on face. Take care not to get it in your hair or eyebrows becuase it's hard to get out (not impossible or damaging, just icky). Wait till it drys completely, peel off, and wash face. Do it for a month, and then once a month if the scars seem to come back. Totally works, but takes a lot of patience. Plus, peeling it off can be messy. Washing it off is also an option, but that's slimy and I don't think it works as well.

Dermabrasion might be a possibility. Don't know if it would heal in a month's time though. You probably wouldn't be able to get an appointment within that time constraint either as dermatologists seem to be the toughest physicians to get an appointment with. You might have to wait utill a semester break. Get an appointment lined up in the meanwhile and have it done over break. Your friends in college will marvel at the "new" you!
