Yes. To be of service. We all have gifts. Something that inspires us. Something which will put more positive ripples in the world. Peace.

Every person is sent to this planet with a purpose. The purpose of life is to recognize one's self, and by achieving this, one would not only be able to explore oneself, the universe and the Creator and the Creator send man to this planet to take care of His creatures.

No....I'm sorry but I don't....there are so many people out there lost and confused....it would be unfair to say that their purpose is to let us practice compassion and humanity.

In order to have a purpose...a person needs to direct themselves towards a purpose. Even in sequestered closed tribal societies, everyone has a function that they must play for the good of the tribe. If they refuse, they are banished from the group.

My purpose? To be there with strength, direction, will, and guidance for my family and friends.

Every one is sent with the same purpose. Knowing himself is that purpose behind each one of us. Those who realise this will find a whole universe within him. Then the work is purification of it. Take the example of lust and hatred (most of us are mistaken that lust is love - it is not). A stage in which there is no lust and hatred will allow you to see everyone alike. This is true love. Then only difference is the stage at which each individual lives today. That varies from individual to individual and a person who has vision will look at them like kids - youths - grown ups and so on...

"From the bathtub to the bathtub I have uttered stuff and nonsense." A zen master.

Purposelessness, is not a negative thing. All life is at its base, purposeless. You see, we apply meaning, and meaning is all that creates purpose. Therefore, if we suspend our meaning applying we see the world as it is, purposeless.

This is not to say its not fun sometimes to imagine everything has a purpose. On the other hand, its also fun to let meaning and purpose go and see how everything still works fine when we do.

Yes because God created each and every man for a specific purpose. Our purpose is to glorify him in our everyday actions and thoughts. Sadly, most of us will miss our calling by rejecting God...even Christians fall away from their purpose and lose sight. Luckily, God is patient and loving and always forgives should we sincerely ask for it. Go God!

I believe the only purpose that you have is the purpose that you give to yourself. No one is born with an innate purpose or reason for living.

Yes . I believe that we are brought into this world to make a difference & that God created each one of us to be a consolation be someone. Everybody is unique in their own way.Every person has his own peculiar trait that would be predominant in his character. It depends on eachone of us. If one is more inclined to show kindness, some others would be more passionate about knowing something and passing this wisdom to the ignorant, or there will be some other talents that can be used to make others happy. It is upto us that we should recognise what our uniqueness is & understand in what direction our constituition is leaning to and should act accordingly. I dont believe in waiting for things to be revealed , we should have to realise for ourselves and make decisions for our life.

For me, I believe that my purpose in life, is to spend all my life in service of the poor. I dont know when and where, but Im working towards that end and will try all my life to make my dream come true.

The purpose of all Life is to create useful structure in the universe to counteract entropy (decay...). If a species creates more usefulness than it consumes in resources, it will be sustained. If it doesn't, it goes extinct.
We all need to think in terms of our Net Creativity as individuals, as a community, and as a species. It's time to grow up and stop competing for resources, decide how many we are going to be, and live cooperatively toward improving our selves and our world. We can't all be "Big Rock Stars"........

If you are an atheistic existentialist like Albert Camus(Pronounced Ka-moo), then you reason for living is the same for dying. Without God man is just a cog in a machine, no purpose, no future, and no hope. With God there is a purpose(love God and enjoy Him forever), there is a future(in heaven) and hope of eternal bliss and glory with Jesus.
