Has anyone been to the jelly belly factory in Fairfield?

Is this a cool place to go? Is it worth the drive from San Francisco to Fairfield?

I visited the factory several years ago, on a trip back from Tahoe. I wouldn't go out of my way just to go to the jelly belly factory, but it was fun. They give you a tour of the plant and show you how the jelly belly's are made. Then, you can walk around their gift shop and choose from all the jelly belly flavors (they even have the Bertie Bots Every Flavor Beans). I'm not sure if they still do this, but when I went, they let us try one or two flavors for free. If you really love tours and seeing how things work, then you'll enjoy this. But, I do recommend finding something else to go so or do up that way as well.

I agree that it's fun, but not worth the trip if it's the only thing you are going for. They hand out little complimentary bags of jelly beans now instead of letting you try flavors on the tour. It's good for souvenirs and if you like museums/tours you'll have fun. Plan a day of several stops... there isn't anything else right there in Fairfield really, but along the way from SF.

It's fun for the kids, or even a good place for a date. you go on a ture of the factory and then you get to go in the jelly belly store and see all the different types of jellybeans. they also have a restaurant that you can eat at

Its an okay place. The drive is fast and easy. Since you will be in that area I would recommend driving 15 more minutes to Vacaville since they have a nice shopping outlet.
