No. It is not illegal. People say it's rude, and I Really Do understand how assaulting the toxic fumes can be...
But haven't we all had Those Inescapable Times we cannot help? I mean, one would LIKE to slip away to discretely fire one off. But what about the pressures of nature who refuse postponement? Worse yet are the ones who reject restraint, discretion, silence, and tranquility, making their presence known with a reverberating, aromatic BOOM that leaves bystanders stunned and dismayed, and the perpetrator humiliated!
Rude? Well, I suppose so… but there ARE those Unavoidable times!

I love farting in public places! I hope it's never outlawed in my country (USA). Even if it was illegal, they will have trouble with gathering evidence and proving who did it because of the whoever smelt it dealt it rule.

Well, you're not in jail, are you?
No, I don't think a police officer would want to fill out the paperwork on something like THAT!
