Normally when flying or travelling through high altitude I use to get intense pressure in my ear. I use to blow to clear the pressure to get back to normal hearing, but the past three weeks it does not work. I have slight sinus problem.

-As you suspect, it is likely that your sinus congestion has some related upper respiratory inflammation associated with it, and this prevents your eustachian tube from opening to regulate the pressure in the middle ear space.

If the pain is more severe than usual, or if you have a fever or dizziness, you may have fluid behind the eardrum, and that can breed an infection. When coupled with pressure changes, a ruptured eardrum can occur. So I recommend seeing a doctor if it does not clear up soon.

Perhaps you need to have your ears flushed.
OR
For about $6.00 you can get 'ear candles' at health/herb store. They work great. Can't hurt
