I have had doctors be rude, but not laugh at me.
I have a friend who was laughed at by her doc, who told her she had the largest breasts he had ever seen. Just what she needed , grrr, she was already self-conscious about them and reduction surgery was not an option.
I am sorry this happened to you, i think they should be reported!!

No. If I did, I would have reprimanded them severly. Then I would report the doctor for unprofessional conduct, breach of ethics, etc. Then I would find another doctor.
I ask the GYN lots of questions every year (I have several medical issues) and she always takes the time to explain everything fully.
Perhaps it is a cultural thing?? In the south US, politeness is the norm while in other places the norm is rudeness.

Yes. As a virgin, a Dr. who came highly recommended chuckled adn told me it was "ALL IN MY MIND" when I told him I feel pain as he tried to give me a PAP smear, I also told him I'd never had an exam completed (always had abdominal ultrasound and "other" exam instead) that way. Since he unkind and tactless enough to speak that way, I did not return and later found the best GYN ever!

Absolutely not.
Why did your laugh at you?
Is your doctor in a partnership? If so, look for the superior doctor and give them a call. You can also file a complaint. Look for your local agency that handles complaints of that nature. In California, for example, it would be the Dept. of Consumer Affairs, Medical board.

No I have not and if they did I would tell them straight that it is very unprofessional of them and that you will take your business elsewhere. You are there because they are going to provide a service and if they cannot do it professionally..then they do not deserve your patronage !!!

You should report this DR. This type of conduct is very unbecoming of a professional.
