I'd be a seagull. They hang out all day at the beach and eat all of the pop corn and potato chips that the tourists so generously feed them. They squack and holler but no one really ever bothers them.
I guess I relate to the sea gull in the way that I like to poop on rich peoples Caddilac Escalades.

No eagles or hawks? How about falcons, vultures, and condors?

But seriously the bird I would want to be is an artic tern. Why? Because each year it flies all the way from the artic to the antartic and back again, over 20,000 miles. Join the artic terns and see the world with a birds eye view.

Except for their diet, my second choice would be a turkey vulture. They are the soaring champions of the world. I have watched turkey vultures ride thermals for an eternity never even flapping their wings. What a life. Probably if I were a turkey vulture nothing would taste better to me than a nice road kill. ha ha.

So what's wrong with eagles and hawks? Are you just looking for vegetarian birds? :)

I'm kind of partial towards brightly colored tropical birds. The exact species doesn't matter. Maybe a parrot, or a toucan, or something along that line. I love their colors and their apparent intelligence. Or maybe the word is personality. They seem far more real than one of those little fluff ball birds in the pet stores like parakeets or finches. I am definitely attracted to their individuality.

A bluebird...not a bluejay, but a bluebird. They are just neat looking little birds and I love to watch them. They are also very loyal. They rebuild in the same house year after year.

I would be a "Mocking Bird".

My mouth tends to get me in trouble. My "bark" is bigger than my "bite".
