Sochi! I just got back from my holidays!

The only problem you'll run into in Sochi is that they don't seem to have a McDonald's. I certainly didn't see one... I had to put up with the Dobrynya...it's close enough to McDonald's though: you can get hamburgers and soda there. The first thing I did when I arrived back to Canada yesterday was to go to McDonald's, hug each worker, and order a week's worth of meals to make up for what I missed.

If you don't want the hassle of finding a fancy city with a McDonald's on such short notice, just hang out at the local McDonald's...surely that's good enough! Not every place has a McDonald's; why chance it?

Congratulations on your two week vacation!

Thailand. Beautiful in Phuket, the people are incredibly friendly and it is very affordable. You can stay in the Peninsula Bangkok for only about $250/night and it's absolutely amazing!

If you are interested i'd be happy to give more info, was just there last year.

If you want to go super-exotic/expensive, look at the Maldives. In the Indian Ocean, supposed to be absolutely gorgeous.

Bottomline go somewhere far away if you've got two weeks to spare. Hanging around town for a while is not a vacation, that's unemployment. Go enjoy and see the world!

If you want down to earth people who are extremely friendly and accommodating, good hotel/motel rates, fantastic downhome cooking, great golf courses, and magnificent scenery, then Canada's east coast is an excellent destination, particularly Newfoundland.
Western canada has a more modern flare and is very multicultural, but has everything you're looking for from great nightlife to marvelous shopping. The West Edmonton Mall is the largest in the world, has an indoor amusement park and wave pools and everything else you can imagine. And great people.
Then there's central Canada, with beautiful Northern Ontario camping and fishing to Canada's Wonderland in the south to Niagara Falls. Or the fantastic lakes of the Muskokas. And great people.
So as you can see, I'm strongly suggesting Canada. Furthermore, it is one of the safest destinations in the world.
Enjoy wherever you choose though.

If you can't go far on short notice, don't leave for the whole 2 weeks. Spend part around town getting things caught up, errands done, etc. Then grab a few friends and go to your nearest Six Flags, stay a few nights in a hotel and just have fun. Eat fattening amusement park food, stay up late, and sleep in.

I think the island called Fuji somewhere South of France that speaks Polythese or French. It is out in nowhere. People live in huts, not houses, only a jungle out there.
