Why are women Sluts if they sleep with more then one man, when men are not?

If men sleep with men, they are gay. Okay, kidding, I see what you're saying. It's just part of a huge double standard.

You're correct on your contention, but think about this: When a man cheats on his wife, he's viewed as a slack jawed tom cat that can't keep his schlong in his pants.

But when a women cheats on her husband, it's often excused in the name of "emotional needs". It's okay for women to cheat. They only do it because their man can't satisfy them emotionally (so the people say). It's as if society condones it by saying, "What else would you expect her to do?"

Women that cheat are usually not seen as "sluts", but rather victims of an empty and meaningless relationship.

We all know it's a sham, on both sides. But it goes both ways.

I think the bottom line is: humans are natural sexual beings subject more to desire than morality. Ultimately (and statistically) men and women conduct themselves in a very similar fashion when it comes to infidelity and promiscuity.

I really think the angry female posters should read this and think about it. Throwing stones in glass homes is never a good idea.

Well because throughout history men were regarded as the superior sex, and the more sex partners they had the more masculine they were. However, in our world today, we women think of the sexes as being equal and what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I don't actually notice a great number more of men who concur with us, but they might as well face it. We are moving up the corporate ladder, and sometimes without it being said we are "sleeping our way to the top." And really, does it matter if we did, since it's okay for the man to? The only way we will overcome the old fashioned values is for women to continue to compete for higher administrative positions, jobs that have been traditionally held by males enjoy more females in those positions, and women continuing to get degrees in jobs that have been traditional men's jobs. The young women today really hold a responsibility for their future by striving to continue to be ladies but hold down men's jobs. Everybody knows the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world, so we women whether or not are ever acknowledged to be the tougher sex, always will be because we are the child bearers. See, the problem is that men don't know some women feel this way. I've heard of guys who say that they want a virgin. Dude, if you want a clean girl, then you need to be clean as well.

Because the society works in "double standards". Men who sleeps with more than one woman are sluts also....no excuse in what they did, and they are in the same level as the women who sleeps with too many men.

Good question, but I have found that women are just as guilty of throwing the "slut" name around as men are. All people of each sex should ban this world from their language, along with the word 'bit**'......There is no need for these words. And if men are called players, then lets start calling women players too!

We're not. My theory is that men are worried women will find out they're not actually as great a lover as they say, and so need to insult them. They wouldn't want to think the woman's not frigid after all, it's just that they have no idea what to do to turn her on. So they say a woman is a slut for ...um... comparison shopping :-)

Men are thought to be more virile with every new conquest, while women are thought to be more like a prostitute. It takes two to tango. I used to be promiscuous as a teen and got alot of negative comments. All I was really looking for was love, not sex. I am celebate now, and guess what....nobody talks.
