Once we pick something, it doesn't take long before it's habbit.
Like.....
going to school the first day, you pick out a seat.... next day.. you go toward that same seat as if it were yours. If someone else is in it.. you feel like they invaded your space.
Why is it when putting on underware and pants, you always stick the same leg in first every time, you never rotate... go ahead try it sometimes, see if that isn't the strangest feeling!!

No idea! I tried making my husband change sides with me a few times just to test his side out.. turns out I couldn't sleep. Funny thing too.. we switched our bed around from one wall to the opposite wall and I had to switch bed sides.. i had to remain near the door of the room and my husband on the window side. Weird! I think we also like sides so that we can keep our personal junk next to us on our bedside tables. :)

I think it is just habit. I can't sleep near a window or door, so I make my husband sleep closer to both the door and window, no matter how I move the bed.

I don't,
unfortunately the amount of different beds that i sleep in, it makes no difference to me at all.
but then again, if its bad weather i like to sleep closer to the bulk head, especially on the top bunk, as it stops you falling out.
So maby i do have a preference.

Actually ,My husband and I both like the left side, It's closest to the bathroom( You have to think of these things, when you get older) I'm the nicer half I take the right side.

me, because I have a contractured left arm which has to be propped up at night....therefore I have to sleep on the right side of the bed on my right side so when I have to get up and go to the bathroom, I don't have to crawl over somebody to get there.

For me, it's about what's farthest from a door or window, not right or left. I make my hubby sleep closest to the places that a person can get into our room from. He's bigger.

Because we are creatures of habit. We dry off the same way out of the shower, drive the same way to work, getup at the same time etc etc.
