$ 32.00 per hour as an R.N. This translates into roughly $1,500 per week with unlimited overtime { at time and a half,48 per hr.} and depending which time of the day and unit you work on you can make up to $42.00 per hr. straight time. I live and work in New Orleans and as you could imagine with health care workers being in such short supply post Katrina, you can work as much as you want.Go back to school for R.N. All you need is an associates degree. You will always have a job anywhere in the world. I didn't go back to school until I was 37, 20 years out of high school . It is never to late. Good luck.

I bring home AUS$1200 per fortnight as an admin coordinator. It would be more but I am taxed higher because I have a HECS debt.
