Buy it dont watch it on Youtube, it kinds suks since its only in jap and the jap voices for this anime is really bad, they use female voices for a male.
But the Fruits basket is a really good anime, and manga, although i think the manga is better, since its a lot longer, the anime cuts off around book 6.
Its about a family that is cursed by the Zodiac and when they are under a lot of stress or hugged by the opposite sex, they change into their animal forms, also that cat, the animal that is left out of the Zodiac is part of the curse, the one cursed by the cat has a evil transformation. read on if you want more spoilers








Akito the head of the house for the Sohmas ( The cursed family) is a girl, and will die young, so she treats everyone badly. The curse will eventually die out, soon since all of the cursed ones are alive at teh same, time, that doesnt happen, which means the curse should be over soon, and if not the cat will be locked up forever, since the cat is always locked up at the age of 18.

Fruits Basket is about . . . well, i'm gonna ruin it for you:
its about a family that's cursed by the chinese zodiac animals so that when they get hugged by the opposite sex they change into those animals (ya know, rat, cow, cat, dog, snake. . . )
and there's this girl who is unusually stupid but kind and for some reason can calm a sociopath? that part i never got, but it's good anyways.
there's only one season of the anime and I watched it on youtube.com that way i could watch it whenever i wanted. . .
the manga is still going, though.
ps - it's better than it sounds.

it's a pretty old anime... not that old but my point is that i don't think it's shown on tv anymore!


OMG! That's like my favortie anime/manga of all time!!!! Except for the ending! Stupid pairing! Okay well there is a Sohma family and they are cursed with the vengeful spirits of the chinese zodiac. When they are hugged by the opposite sex they transform to their zodiac animals. There are 12 cursed members becuz the cat is also included but he is left out. Akito is their "god" he/she bears the core of the curse. They have no special abitlies or powers 'cept they can communicate with their animals. Tohru Honda is a girl who stumbled upon their lives and changed them forever. Her mother was hit by a car and her father died when she was little. She went to live with her grandpa and then he decided to get the house remodeled so he told her to go stay with a friend. Being the kind hearted person she was she didn't want to bother either of her friends so she decided to live in a tent which was on Sohma property. So when she was walking to school she came across the Sohma house. Interested in the zodiac figurines she stopped at the house to be greeted by a 27 year old man named Shigure. She finds out that this house belongs to the prince of the school Yuki Sohma! (i ♥ Yuki) After school she goes to work. When she walked home she was getting a fever. Shigure and Yuki found her in the tent and invited her to stay with them. The next day when Yuki was bringing her to her room a orange haired boy breaks through the ceiling and challenges Yuki. She slips on a chunk of wood and hugs the boy who turned into the cat. she started panicing and a piece of wood fell onto her head and she fell against Yuki and Shigure who turned into a dog and a rat. (Yuki is rat, Shigure is the dog). They explain the curse to her and she gets to stay at the Sohma house. Kyo is forced to stay too. This is the first time their secret has gotten out to the outside. Yuki and Kyo are enemies and fight constantly. Kyo can NEVER beat Yuki and always ends up thrown out the wall or something. Soon she meets a girl named Kagura who seems shy and sweet. When she sees Kyo though she went crazy and beats him up. Later its reveled that Kagura is in "love" with Kyo and is obsessed with him. She is the boar. When her grandpa's remodeling is done she goes home. Yuki and Kyo realize how much they miss her and go retrieve her. So she becomes a permanet guest in the Sohma house. Throughout the series she meets all the zodiac members and helps them one by one. want spoilers? Tell me! don't go to wikipedia cuz if you don't want spoliers! that's about the whole first book!
