Tonights CBS evening news reported on oil company profits for the quarter. CBS reports that Exxon/Mobil made $80,000.00 PER SECOND PROFIT! Exxon chief this year retired and will receive a retirement package of $400 Million Dollars. People...NO ONE is entitled to receive a $400 Million Dollar Retirement Package. We blame the middle east for high gas prices but we should not have to bear the burden of $80K per second profits. All oil companies reported high profits. I cannot be the only one who is being paralyzed by high gas prices which leads to higher costs every where else. I think it is time for some vigilante justice here. These people are raping us. They have to start feeling the pain too. How do we find out who they are and where they live. We need to change this scenario. Don't tell me we have to reduce our dependance on foreign oil when our fuel providers are making ungodly profits. People they are intentionally raping us.

Cathi, you, your daddy or your hubby must work for the Big Oil Guys. Either that or you work for Wal-Mart the way you sing their praises. Either way, are you for real? I am so glad your life is wonderful that you feel you can defend Big Oil and Wal-Mart who are both hurting the small businessman. I am all for profit. What I am not for is absorbadent profits. If you have any intelligence at all, how can you think that making $80K...Id better spell this one out for you...that's eighty thousand dollars per second profit is "American" while hurting those of us struggling to make ends meet. Do you understand profit? Profit is the amount you pocket after the bills are paid. You tell me to stop wining? Wake up beeyatch! Skip the Wal-Mart cheer tomorrow and do something new for a change...Think!

WELL said. We are being violated by the oil industry here in our own country and they are using the oil crises to their OWN benefit.

The rest of us suffer while the oil tycoons get richer and richer. And, we still have an oil crisis. There should definately be a salary cap placed on resources that are Natural. The resources of our world should belong to ALL of us.

Next thing you know, someone will be becoming rich just so the rest of the world will be allowed air to breathe.

I don't know what we can legally do about it, but there should be a national outcry to the government. Maybe with the next year being an election year.. someone will do something. Let's all vote for the person that will actually see to it that these Oil monopolies will be put in their place!

Time to break up big oil? While you're at it, go ahead and break up Microsoft, or McDonald's, or Wal-Mart. Since when is making a profit a bad thing....this is America and free enterprise means that the rich get richer. This has been happening back when the shipping business was big, back when the railroads were big. Stop whining.
