This is, of course, just an opinion, but i say that the best album so far this year is 'Bitter Tea' by The Fiery Furnaces.
I don't know if you've heard them before, but they play this incredibly catchy indie "pop" music. They use all kinds of instruments which makes the sound very unique and usually unforgettable.
Check out these songs from that album: "Bitter Tea", "Benton Harbor Blues", "Waiting To Know You", and "Teach Me Sweetheart".
