This question has many parts but it it can be answered fairly. Scoring - it would have to be Kobe(the only thing that can stop Kobe is KOBE), AI, Lebron, Wade then Carmelo.
Assists - Lebron has the best eyes, AI, Wade (it's easy when you have talent to pass to), Kobe then Melo.
Rebounding - Lebron, Melo, Wade, Kobe and AI.
Dunks - Kobe and Lebron tie, Wade, Melo, AI.
Lebron can definitely carry a team to glory. He can do everything you can possibly want a player to do and more. Now that he's had a taste of the post season and is a little hungrier, it'll be almost impossible to stop him. Judging by his reaction to losing in the OFFS (weeping), his will to win is as great as any! He also has a decent supporting cast! Kobe can do it if he can continue to trust his teammates as he did in the playoffs. He has that undying determination and that is something that makes him very dangerous. Wade has ridiculous talent on his team not to mention Diesel. Everything becomes easier when you have a 300lb bully in your corner. As far as him leading a team that can be called HIS, I don't know. Iverson needs serious help. And Melo needs God.

The most selfish is Iverson. Many may say Kobe but he does what is needed - he just wants to win! NO ONE calls him selfish when he single handedly brings his team back from huge deficits. Or when he passes to people like Kwame that has a knack for missing dunks. Or to Lamar that just wants to be a 6'10 point guard. Iverson gets into scoring races, Kobe controls games both on the offensive and on the defensive side. Lebron and Wade don't have a selfish bone in their bodies. Melo...well I don't even know why we're even talking about him.

RATING
1. Kobe - Whoever said Kobe is washed up needs a brain transplant and be subsequently banned from Yahoo! Answers. As he enters his prime at age 28 in the '06 - '07 season, the league will be at his mercy. Whether you hate him or you love him, you love to watch him! Next season, he'll still be the most electrofying player to watch.
2. King - Strength, quickness, smarts, youth...personality(?) This guy has to be 21 going on 30! His game is far beyong his age and his interviews are the hottest in the L. In two years, if you need a ring, you'll have to ask King James...nicely!
3. Wade - There isn't much I could say about this dude - he is just a problem! His drives, his pullups; everything seems so effortless and graceful. If he inherits a decent replacement for Shaq when he retires, the league will be treated to great battles between him and Lebron for years to come. I still think the King has the edge though!
4. AI - It's just amazing what AI can do on the court at 6'1 (maybe) 175 (with a wet shirt on). He's getting to that age where he may be on a decline and I don't know how much longer his body will be able to take the beatings but the one thing that never ever fails is AI's heart. He's relentless and will be a HOF inductee once his great career is over.
5. Melo - He's the only player on this list that it would take a miracle for him to get into the HOF. He's aggressive, he's fearless, he's talented but his game needs to grow more. He needs to become a better defender and work on his court pressence. Sometimes he could be on the court and no one could tell...a statement that can't be made about the previous four players. He still has that freakish jab step though. He's good but not GREAT!

At the bottom is Carmelo. He is a good player but not as good as Iverson. Iverson has a will to win that is above any other. Its hard to over look all he did in his carrer so i put him fourth. Third is Lebron. Lebron is actually the most physically gifted player but he has yet to win a championship. Lebron can have a triple double every night and has the ability to guard every player on the court. Yes i said every player. He is the the same size as Ben Wallace so there is no reason he cant guard the post as well as the guards. He has some of the best court vison in the game and there is no one who can stop him from scoring. But his defense on the perimeter is not there yet, and i cant put him ahead of two champions. Wade is two but this is a honorable two right behind Kobe. Wade complete carried the miami heat to the ship. Cause with shaq put up under 10 points in the finals it was up to Wade. Everytime Miami needed a basket he was there to get. He came down court and was hittin 4 and 5 shots in a row. I have not seen a performace like his in game 3 of the finals since Jordan in 92 agianst the Trailblazers when he hit all those threes. Yes i was five but i remember it. But Wade is only 6 foot 4. And at his height there are some swingman the are difficult to guard. Now number one on the list is the ultimate player. And that is Kobe Bean Bryant. Kobe has three rings a scoring title and made the all defense first team couple times
All this and he isnt even 30 yet. You may say what has he done lately but look at the lakers. the only players that have been in the leauge more than 2 years on that team is devan geoge who is always hurt. And Lamar Odom who has yet to live up to his hype out of Rhode Island. Kobe lead this rag-tag group to the playoffs and almost upset the Suns. Kobe has showed that he is the best clutch player in the leauge his who carrer. and to top it off people DONT SCORE ON HIM. He takes pride in his defense as well as his offense and a 6 foot 7 bigger guards cant take advantage of him. Say what u want but Kobe is the best in the Leauge

Kobe is the best. Talent from work wise it's Dwayne. Talent from born with it LeBron. Balla is A.I. Carmelo is pretty good not a superstar though. Kobe in scoring, LBJ in rebounding, A.I. in assists, and LBJ in dunks. Dwayne Wade already carried his team to a championship. Iverson s the most selfish only because he has to be. 1 is D-Wade, 2 is Kobe, 3 is King James, 4 is The Answer, and 5 is Melo.

1. Dwayne Wade
2. Lebron James (assists,rebounds)
3. Kobe Bryant (scoring,dunks)
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Allen Iverson

Wade is the best simply because of what he did in the playoffs, even with an older Shaq, he carried the team. I think if Kobe was to be less of a selfish player, without a doubt he would be the best. Basketball is a team game so you have to be a team player to be considered the best.

Your title question was not, "Who is the better athlete," or "Who has the most potential," but who is the better player.

Of the group, I believe the better player is Dwayne Wade, because he plays well with others. His game compliments the game of his teammates, not overshadows or inhibits.

1. Dwayne
2. Lebron
3. Carmelo
4. The two selfish players, Kobe and Allan are tied for last.

Allan has only been to the championship game once, and always asks to be traded. He caused Larry Brown to pack his bags.

Kobe alienated his teammates in the past; he may change this year. He caused Phil Jackson AND Shaq to pack their bags.

Dwayne Wade because he is on a championship contender team AND he can score AND he can rebound AND he can steal the ball AND he puts up enough assists to make hime better than the rest. If LeBron was on a better team, I would give him a chance. But he's not, so I won't.

Well, that's a pretty badly made question. 3 of those were selected in a draft only 3 years ago, while the other 2 are seasoned veterans. Also, 3 of the people on that list already have championship rings. Also, Melo isn't surrounded by a very good supporting cast like the other 4 of them are, thus knocking his chances of gettting a ring very low.

But, regardless, I'll fulfill your wish.
1. Wade
2. James
3. Kobe
4. 'Mello
5. Iverson.

You heard me, he's just washed up now. He can still hit shots, but is becoming the Kobe of the 76rz.
