There are so many things to discuss about life, it's just not a general topic.

If you want to get technical, the meaning of life is simply defined as functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism

This makes abortion wrong, since the debate is wether or not a fetus is alive. From the minute of conception, a fetus displays each of the 5 necessary qualities of life. It is killing, no matter what anyone tries to say. It IS wrong.

Our generation's purpose is not to see to it that we understand why existance exists. Our purpose in this day is to gain as much knowledge about anything from our parents and then some, so that we can pass it on to our children and generation by generation, we will get that much closer to understanding life.

The meaning of life is to live each day as if it were your last. Love, live, be kind, be considerate of others. The meaning of life is to make someone else better because of your existence.

Life is like an Ice -cream so live it before it melts.
OR
Life is full of challenges so try to take each challenge as a new oppurtunity to move forward.

As every person is unique, in turn, so is their purpose for life. Each man and woman may serve a different type of purpose in life. The purpose of the life of an infant who may live for only a day is far different from that of a man that lives beyond 100 years. The life of a bedridden person in a coma for years contrasts greatly with that of a person blessed with good health.

One's purpose in life may be simple or complex. It appears some are here to learn and to teach, some to teach, and some to learn.

Say a child is born mentally handicapped to parents who are immature and rather selfish. Hopefully the child's purpose serves as a powerful factor in his/her parents' lives, whereby they learn to develop compassion, unselfishness, to sacrifice for others, patience, etc.

Say a child is born extremely gifted. His purpose in life may be to self-actualize (Google "self actualization" with Dr. Abraham Maslow. He coined the term “Self-Actualization” as the pinnacle in the hierarchy of human needs and summed up the
concept as:

"A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be. This is the need we may call self-actualization ... It refers to man's desire for fulfillment, namely to the tendency for him to become actually in what he is potentially: to become everything that one is capable of becoming ..."

So if one ponders what the meaning of life is, he should consider that the meaning of the life of say a poor person is far different than that of one born with a silver spoon in his mouth. The poor person is indeed blessed as his poverty teaches him to be humble and to appreciate whatever he receives in life.

Whereas someone born into wealth may face the challenge of needing to learn humility, and may never learn this until say his health fails and then he becomes humbled.

So rather than ponder the meaning of life, I would suggest you
ponder the meaning of each mans' purpose.

It is what ever you want to live it or abuse it. You have the ability to go down the wrong path or take the right one! It is all up to you and what you choose
