I just want the certification

There are books you can read in the public library that will help you prepare for the exams. You don't need to have a degree for A+ certification, all you have to do is score well on some tests.

Getting the cert itself is fairly easy. If you've already studied and just want to take the test you can at many testing facilities. The test is given by CompTIA (www.comptia.org) and you can take it at most schools or learning facilities such as New Horizons or your local college.

Studying for it can go many way. Books are the basics, then you have CBTs/Trancenders etc, and finally an all out classroom environment. I would defiantly recommend picking up a practice test book or finding a trancender to run through to see where you are at as far as passing the test before plopping down the money to take it. Last I knew it was two tests to get certified with each one costing $125 to take so you don't want to blow it. Pick up a practice test book for $10 so you can gauge how much you need to study.

The cert really has nothing to do with a degree so I say do it on your own.
