I need something that I can do on my days off. I am a registered nurse and am really spending too much time on this question and answer thing here. It really is addicting.
I dont drink. and really am not a good swimmer. Would probably drown if you dropped me in the pacific. I love to drive in my car and see things. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

On your days off go for a drive.Take a route you normally dont, and explore your area,im sure there are parts of your area that are lovely that you havent seen yet,or have been too busy to notice if you passing them.Go to the park and have a picnic, even if you are by yourself.Swing on the swings act like a kid again.Go to the beach, pack a lunch and snack and just hang at the beach all day long even if you dont swim hang out in the warm sun the weather has been beautiful lately even tho its really hot..If you are interested in dating then get into a dating group or something.Go out with friends and make new ones that have the same interests as you. There are so many things you can do,and this is quite addicting isnt it?Go to an exercise class even(not saying your fat or anything) its a great way to pass the time and getting a little more healthy while doing it.No one can ever be too HEALTHY naturally. If you enjoy drives take pictures and make scrap books!:)Get a new bike go for a bike.Get out and explore the world there are so many options open for you we just sometimes dont see it.

Me too. I'm on level 5, so you know I spend waaaaaay too much time here. Maybe you could find a pen pal or two? I also spend time at mah jong solitaire (they have a chat room)
I work 3rd shift a lot, so I started making a quilt. I piece squares at work between rounds (I'm a cna while I'm in school) and put the squares together at home. I'll be 50 in September, so bring home kids from class isn't really an option, because they're younger than my kids. My hubby races at the dirt track, so we go there on weekends. If you're in South Carolina, come with us.
Too much rambling---hope you find a nice hobby.

Will you didn't say if you are a man or a woman but you can take a dancing class ie western line dancing, there is learning how to sew classes, cooking classes, art classes, some community colleges offer courses to the general public you can look into taking one of those, lets see you can take a distant education course, or take a language course.

Try collecting older coins. Not only will you have an awesome collection but you will be getting rich at the same time. I have an almost complete collection of buffalo nickles. If I ever decide to cash it in out of complete desperation, I'll be richer than I am now! Good luck and have fun!

Do you like photography? You could take a photography class unless of course you're a natural! Then on your days off you could take a drive and take some pictures. You might consider sewing, or pottery, or cross-stitching as well.

Rubber stamping.....

you can scrapbook.... and/or make hand stamped greeting cards. It's a lot of fun.

IM sure you have lots of precious family photos.... get em out of the box, and into a scrapbook where you can embellish the pages and add you own personal touch to them.

If you want to know more you can email me at

I like to paint action figures and give them away at bridal showers, but since you're a nurse you might get into making tissue box cozies.

Check into Amateur radio. You can meet a lot of new people, and it really comes in handy in emergencies. It's jus plain interesting too to learn new things about those amazing invisible radio waves.
