Why do Latinas think they are better than Black women?

Where I live all the Latinas are always trying to put all the Black women down. They call us jealous and they go too far with their "nationalism" or "Latin Pride" Alot of them date Black guys and they get mad when they see a Black woman with a Latino guy.

Although I believe that everyone should have pride in their ethnicity and themselves, I agree that women should not be hateful to each other. Life is hard enough without unnecessary drama. Maybe these women are intimidated by a confident black woman and are also jealous because a man may have the good taste to date her. I am white and I think that interracial dating is a good thing and that maybe these women need to educate themselves about real problems that are out there and maybe spend their time working on those. I am sure you are beautiful and intelligent, please ignore these catty, ignorant women.

I am latina and all of my best friends are black,there boyfriends are hispanic, I rather see them as people not color, It's not that we think we are better than anyone it is a sense of independence we have as well as pride, you should know how precious you are and not waste your time and energy on what they say or do, if anything it is more of an insecurity issue on your part, it just so happens the woman around you happen to be latina..

well unfortunately some latina women are very mean. Just yesterday I asked almost the same question. But I am latina born here, they also treat me bad.I think they have a problem with a woman who is strong and proud. Also many are taught racism it was pushed on me when I was young by my grandfather he spoke badly of the black race. I did not get along with him!!!!! i'm sorry you feel that way. i'm Latina and don't try to put anyone down. But you can't say that all Latinas act that way...my first best friend in kindgergarten was black.
maybe it's just the Latinas in your area where you live.

there is no such ingredient as "latino" race. Even the naming is off, on account that "latinos" no longer something to do with the Roman Empire. Hispanic/Latino represents a custom. this is an ethnicity. I see no clarification why Hispanics separate themselves while it comprises race. there is 3 kinds of Hispanics I see. The Black, the Brown and the White. a lot of those in usa are Brown.

Latinos and blacks need 2 stick together. there r many Latinos who are black like Dominions and Puerto Ricans. They have dark skin and coarse hair just like African Americas. Some of their ancestors came from africa 2 so for them not 2 like us is dumb.
