Eufaula Lake (yoo-FAW-luh), on McIntosh-Haskill co. border, and in Pittsburg and Hughes cos., E Okla., on Canadian R., 30 mi/48 km S of Muskogee; c.40 mi/64 km long; 35°18'N 95°20'W. Max. capacity 3,848,000 acre-ft. Three arms formed by North Canadian R. (N), Deep Fork Canadian R. (N), Gaines Creek (S). Formed by Eufaula Dam (99 ft/30 m high), built by the Army Corps of Engineers for flood control, navigation, and power generation. Fountainhead (NE shore of N arm) and Arrowhead (W shore of S arm) state parks here.
