Respect for myself evolved. I learned that all people make mistakes...some shameful and some not so harmful. I forgave myself and let go of it. I don't need others' approval. I look forward positively, understanding that my past has helped me develop into the person I am today. I love and respect myself, and I experience little discoveries everyday!

Respect is all about confidence. You cannot get respect without confidence. I respect someone who knows what they are doing and is honest whether they are a doctor or a construction worker. You should too.

Absolutely, my definition of respecting yourself is having a high self esteem, knowing that you’re the best damn person walking down that street. Not putting yourself down regardless of your faults or imperfections, after all we are human

I think that respect for yourself is achieved when you stop being concerned what other people thing of you, and are proud of what makes you unique. When you stop trying to impress other people, and find someone who likes you for who you are, you will be one step closer to finding your soul mate.
