Besides the Beatles and the monkees?

Or some band sI would enjoy like the Beatles and the monees?

When I said the monkees, I was going on the very limited songs I heard. One of them sounded like they had an accent.

As you can see, I haven't read up on them that much.

The Rolling Stones
Herman's Hermits
The Yardbirds (Led Zeppelin progenitor)

Monkees were not British Invasion. Davy Jones was a Brit, but the others were Americans.

British Invasion acts include (but certainly aren't limited to) Gerry and the Pacemakers, Chad & Jeremy, The Animals, Dave Clark Five, Dusty Springfield, Herman's Hermits, Peter & Gordon and the Rolling Stones.

An argument could be made for Cat Stevens, The Hollies or The Who, but I think they really came along after what most would consider the initial wave of artists.

first the monkees werent british and second the other big bands were the who, the rolling stones, and the yardbirds those are just some
